Sam has been dancing since she was 2 years old and never looked back. Growing up in central NJ, she danced competitively and performed in multiple musicals in her high school and community- she started choreographing these musicals when she was 17. She later graduted from Hofstra University with degrees in Psychology, Drama and Business Management, and post college, moved to NYC to audition for whatever she could get her hands on.  Samantha danced at the Carnival Choreographer's Ball in NYC (including backup dancing for Robert Taylor Jr.) and in an Xbox Kinect flashmob commercial featuring Ne-Yo and Lady Souverign. She went on to dance on the national tour of Sesame Street Live, performing across the U.S, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Samantha was in the original cast of the Off-Broadway immersive show Play/Date, danced in the Off-Off Broadway production of Naked Holidays and choreographed/danced in The Ded Sullivan Show at the former Times Scare in Times Square. She was Young Deborah in the ID Network's Stalked, Kelly in the web series Full Count, and has done numerous infomercials for Gaiam and more!

While in NYC, Samantha was the assistant for Broadway Dance Center faculty members Debbie Wilson, Heather Rigg and Lane Napper. Since starting her choreography journey, Samantha has choreographed over 75 musicals, live events, flashmobs, wedding performances, and films, most recently the Applebees University Saucerority TikTok commercials. She has been nominated for "Outstanding Choreography" awards with Count Basie, Rising Star and NJ Theater Association, and won two Basie awards for her work on Drowsy Chaperone and All Shook Up. Samantha created a dance program with Arise International for Dutch students traveling to NYC to study their craft. She was also the dance production assistant for the Britney Spears Twister Rave commercial and choreographed/directed a dance shoot for 150 people on location in Nashville. "I'm so excited to share my passion with you, and I know that no matter what your previous dance experience is, you'll find your home here at Saucy Studios. Come learn fierce choreograhphy, sweat, feel sexy, and meet your new best friends. I can't wait to dance with you all!!"

Rob is the website builder, ad designer, spackle champion, and front desk extraordinaire at Saucy Studios. He is lucky enough to get to spend his life with Sam and is just happy to do any role to help her realize her dream of opening her own studio and spreading her brand of high energy fun for everyone who walks through our doors! When he's not at Saucy he's the Director of Operations at Traffic Builders, a digital marketing firm located in Bayville NJ. He is an avid golfer, loves the brewery across the street (and wants to work to get a Saucy Selzer on their menu) and will be working the front desk from time to time and if you're lucky you will never need to see his dance moves :)

  • Whatever you are comfortable dancing in! Most people wear what they would wear to a gym or fitness class. Sneakers, tennis shoes or dance sneakers/jazz shoes are great for most classes, and you are more than welcome to wear socks, lyrical turners, or barefoot for lyrical/contemporary classes. Heels should be worn in designated heels classes, but other footwear is also welcome in those classes based on comfort level.

  • Our classes are 1 hour in length. Workshops or specialty classes may be extended to 90 mins but time frames for such classes will always be explicitly listed in the description.

  • We offer three levels of classes! Beginner, All Levels (which is great for both beginners and those with dance experience) and Intermediate/Advanced. There are no prerequisites for any levels and we welcome you to take whichever level works best for you! Please note that intermediate/advanced is designed for those with past dance experience.

  • We offer street styles (hip-hop, street jazz, funk), lyrical/contemporary, musical theater, heels, jazz, commercial jazz and music video/live performance choreography classes. Be on the lookout as we add more styles to the calendar!

  •  Our classes are not like Zumba in that you are not following a set of moves to each song that continually changes. We are choreography based classes so you will learn a full custom routine! We keep the choreo movin' so you'll definitely get that heart rate up and break a sweat!

  • Nope! No matter how you identify, everyone is welcome to dance it out with us!

  • Yes! Our classes are meant for bodies of all shapes, sizes, and abilities so we make sure all of our dancers feel confident with the movements! For recent injuries, make sure you are cleared by your doctor before doing any sort of physical exercise.

  • Unless otherwise noted, our classes are all separate, fresh routines for each class, so no getting lost here!

  • Sure, however, registering for class beforehand is highly excouraged to secure your spot. We try our best to get everyone into class but we can't guarantee entry if the class is at capacity! Register yourself for class here
